HONG KONG, Feb. 27 -- 2009 Hong Kong Action Asia's adventure running series is scheduled to take place in Hong Kong on March 1, organizers announced here on Friday. The five race series starts off in Repulse Bay on March 1st with a 12 kilometers trail running course including a 430-meter climb up Violet Hill's backside on a skinny trail and more than two kilometers of river rock trails. The final race will be held on May 10, 2009. The event is going to attract more than 500 citizens of Hong Kong, the organizers said in a statement. "The series is perfectly timed after the other road races so I am looking forward to the sprints as they are very different than your typical HK race," said Jeremy Ritchie, one of last year's top male finishers in the series. "And the race is truly get you off the main trails and into the real bush and gorges of Hong Kong," he added. |
